In the quiet moments of a Christmas Eve dinner in 2022, our families peaceful evening took a sudden turn when we discovered our daughter’s 6-pound puppy, Leo (aka “Peej”), struggling to stand.
Concerned, we rushed to his side and discovered he had ingested several medicinal plant-infused gummies.
Turning to the internet for help, we realized the gravity of the situation; we weren’t just facing a personal crisis; we were confronting a widespread issue affecting countless families.
With the rise of legal medicinal plants and gummies, children and pets are in danger. Shocked by the alarming statistics on accidental ingestion by children and pets, we searched for a solution, but none met our standards.
Drawing on our collective expertise — my daughter’s background in digital marketing, her partner’s background in biomedical engineering, and her childhood friend’s talent as an industrial designer — we began sketching out ideas for a better storage solution.
